This is a handheld GPS system which is suitable for any purpose. It is highly mobile weighing just 7.5 ounces and it has an extremely accurate high sensitivity GPS receiver by SiRF which will track your position anywhere on land or sea. The bright 2.6 inch color TFT display is readable in any lighting conditions. The unit can also take a knock and it will survive submersion in water up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. It features quick auto-routing and turn by turn directions with audio alerts.
It comes with a 64MB microSD memory card for storing additional map data and there is an integrated barometric altimeter and an electronic compass. It comes preloaded with an Americas auto route base map and a marine point database. Two AA batteries will give you 20 hours of use. You can hook it up to your PC via USB and load extra maps.
