The Sexy New iPod Shuffle

Posted January 5th, 2007 by Marius Trusculescu

The iPod is definitely the number one must have gadget in the whole world and the new iPod Shuffle is the latest major upgrade to Apple’s series of mp3 players. It is also the least expected to benefit from an upgrade at next week’s Macworld Expo conference so this post won’t be outdated in less than 7 days.

The iPod Shuffle

The first thing noticeable at the iPod Shuffle is the beautiful design that incorporates a new clip for easy attachment to your clothing. See the above picture and tell me you are not impressed by the simplicity and overall look of the anodized aluminum case. But don’t be fooled by the simple look. Under the hood of this half ounce (14 grams) device there is a full featured iPod with 2GB of storage for your favorite songs (240 mp3). You would think that with just as little volume and mass as this device has the battery could not assure a decent time of music playing. You could not be more wrong. According to Apple there’s up to 12 hours of continuous functionality without any recharging of this iPod. Of course there is no LCD display but there are new ways of controlling your playlist without that and considering the price is just $79 you could easily forget this detail.

On a side note, If you are interested in the iPod and other Apple products I suggest revisiting our site as new products will certainly be announced at the Macworld and we will be certainly covering all of them. Maybe you will find out the details of the much debated iPhone from Devicepedia for the first time.
