SpyDisk Pen Not Only for Spies
Posted October 18th, 2007 by Mihnea Boiangiu

This picture has attract my attention rather than the article’s title. I do not intend to become a spy or to steal secret documents, but I like these fancy USB gadgets. I have always found interesting pens with additional functions, a lot more this one.
The SpyDisk is a Japanese invention and very ingenious. It combines the basic function of writing with the utility of being a data storage disk. The ballpoint pen looks normally but it transforms in a USB easily. It features 512 MB of memory and also can read SD/MMC cards. The SpyDisk is available in Japan for just 4,800 yen or $41. Have fun!

Does this device allow you to copy a card onto its internal memory I wonder? Don’t you think there are far too many of these USB pen gadgets out there now - people are getting confused by finger print security, built in password encryption etc… looks like a good product for the geeks out there!

Logically no. It doesn’t feature a display or additional buttons, so the card reader works only with a computer using the USB connection.

Por si alguien lo dudaba, sí, el SpyDisk es un invento japonés, que nosotros hemos encontrado en Devicepedia […]

This is so cool. If it only played the theme music to the Mission: Impossible TV show it would be a bargain at twice the price!
