Sony VAIO UX1 UMPC

Available in Japan and in US, Sony VAIO UX1 has arrived in Europe. Weighting just 480g, Sony VAIO UX1 is a true Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC). The device is equipped with the latest Intel Ultra-Low Voltage processor and is running Windows Vista Business. In addition, a full 1GB of memory will enhance its functionality, making possible to achieve a real PC performance. So, you can enjoy music and video playback and even play games.

Sony VAIO UX1 doesn’t use a regular HDD. It comes with 32GB of Flash memory. This will provide many advantages for its users. Flash memory is more faster than the hard disk and it uses less power than the HDD. This UMPC has a 4.5″ touchscreen LCD with a resolution of 1024 x 600. If you slide the screen up you will see a full QWERTY keyboard. The package contains a stylus for the touchscreen display. Other features are the two cameras (one for web chat, other for taking pictures), integrated Wi-Fi, 3 USB ports, AV-out, VGA, LAN and iLink connectivity. The price for this cool gadget could be around $2,500 (GBP 1,300).
