S-XGen UMPC review

S-XGen is a ultramobile personal computer, produced by Seamless Internet. This device was officially launched at CES 2007. It seems to be very practical, especially for business users. S-XGen is situated between a PDA and a Laptop. It can also be used as a cellphone, supporting tri-band GSM/EDGE/CDMA technologies. S-XGen is equipped with an Intel PXA270 Xscale 520MHz processor and is running Microsoft Windows CE 5.0. Users have the possibility to work with complex programs due to 250 MB of Ram and 20 GB hard drive.

For office applications, S-XGen comes with the Microsoft Office Mobile Suite. This little gadget has a full QWERTY keyboard, a built-in web camera, 4″ TFT touchscreen, USB ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ethernet networking. All these features were included in a 6.5×3.8×1.25 inches and 14 ounces device. The battery offers 8 hours of computing, as well as MP3 or video playback. Considering the list of features you should not be staggered about its price. S-XGen is available for $1395.
