Homemade speed camera detector

You know we’ve presented you red-light cameras detectors and different high class GPS radar detectors so that you don’t hook-up some trouble on the road. It looks like some Sweedish guy has a pretty nice hack to hide a speed camera detector (which is mostly illegal) by integrating it into the sun shield. It costs less and it’s more practical.
The homemade version of a common speed camera detector is mostly useful in Sweden. It gets the location of th speed cameras from a database that it queries with the built-in GPS it has. Though this example is only good for Scandinavian countries, the concept could be used world wide, and I am talking about the hidden small LCD that shows you info.
The developer of this new device is going to help those that need to build their own system at home, but since Engadget already posted the news I can bet he’s going to get a ton of new emails that will either block his account or make him mad and he would come out with the recipe. - ALEX ION
