DRS-1100 a driving event data recorder

Posted March 6th, 2008 by Alex Ion

Nobody plans on getting into a car accident. It’s just one of those things that happen. When it does happen everyone involved will likely have a lot of opinions on the matter. The goal is to determine the exact cause of an accident, based on the best information available.

DRS-1100

Having a driving event data like this GlobalTransportTech DRS-1100 installed in your car would provide you with an exact record of the events surrounding an accident from your perspective for review on custom software which integrates Google Maps.

The DRS-1100 is also a great tool for recording your driving experiences, driving habits, & any other incidents ahead of you while driving.

Here are the specs

  • Internal GPS Module
  • 1.3 Megapixel CMOS Digital sensor camera
  • 1280 x 960 Resolution
  • Audio and Video Record capability
  • Internal 3D G-sensor (Collision, Q-break, Q-accel detection)
  • SD memory card (Max 16GB)
  • Power Supply DC12.0V

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), an independent U.S. Federal agency, supports Vehicle Recording Systems so you may want to consider buying one.

    1. DRS user Says:

awesome device, true black box system
using it from August within 2 last months, but my device (perhaps earlier firmware or revision) only supports 2Gb, but that’s much enough for several hours of cycling video recording with audio

      just check youtube for video’s

I bought DRS1100 on the site several years ago. I heard that F/W will be updated. I would like to do it, however Sticker of s/n will be erased and scratched off, I cannot contact to manufacturer.
How and where can I get it (new f/W) ?
