Posted March 17th, 2007 by Mihnea Boiangiu

Digital Cube has unveiled their new i-Station UMPC. The G43 model is said to be the world’s smallest UMPC. Instead of a common 7″ display, G43 sports a 4.3″ touchscreen with 800 x 480 resolution.

The device is powered by an AMD Geode LX800/900 CPU running at 500MHz. The i-Station isn’t ready for Windows Vista, but it can work very well on XP version or on Linux. Some good features that need to be mentioned here are: the 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth and the speaker dock, which is also used for charging the device. You have the option to choose between the 30GB or 60GB hard disk models.

The UMPC will be available in Korea starting from this summer for $700. The world is expecting the launching in September or October.
