Samsung 2494SW Black LCD Monitor

This is a large monitor from Samsung at 24 inches and the specifications are reasonably good. The dynamic contrast ratio is 50,000:1 and the brightness is 300 cd/m2. The resolution is 1920 x 1080 and the viewing angle is good (170 degrees and 160 degrees). It has integrated speakers and a simple tilting stand which doesn’t turn. It obviously supports full high definition 1080p so it is great for watching movies on but the resolution is limited to 1920 x 1080 but it does scale down without a problem.
Since the response time is 5 milliseconds it may not be ideal for gaming, this will be enough for most people but hardcore gamers into fast paced action will prefer a faster response time. It has DVI or VGA ports which are recessed into the back. You can get this for $199.99 which is a great price for a 24 inch monitor.
