Acer’s F20 LCD Display

Posted January 12th, 2007 by Marius Trusculescu

Acer’s F series has its inspiration in the Formula 1 team Ferrari and their success at the top of the racing world. The Italian car manufacturer has the image of a high-tech company and the consequence its seen in the numerous Ferrari series of computer related devices. The most common are the Ferrari laptops, but for today I will address the line of LCD monitors from Acer.

Acer Ferrari F20 LCD monitorAlthough the line includes 17″, 19″ and 20″ displays, I will only be covering the top of the line, the F20 screen and its main features.
On the outside the product looks breathtaking as it benefits from a sleek combination of black and red offering a very sexy, yet serious look.

But the F20 is more than just a beautifully designed LCD. Having a natural resolution of 1600×1050, the monitor offers crystal clear images as the contrast is 800:1 and the brightness is 300 cd/m2. The 8ms response time is enough for displaying even the most dynamical movie or game scenes without even a hint of an image freeze. A TV tuner is of course included and so is a set of 5W speakers.
