The display that I will present trough this post is supposed to be the perfect choice for both your gaming and office activities and for movie watching. At least that is what the producer, Fujitsu Siemens Computers is saying about the SCALEOVIEW W19-1.

I understand that this LCD is good for any task required by the computer as at 19″ it covers most of your viewing angle as you sit close to the monitor when at a computer, but will that be enough when trying to watch a movie? Even if the W19-1 has a wide screen I still think it may be to small to offer the same viewing experience as a display designed for your living-room. However it is a very good 2-in-1solution as it can play the computer monitor part very well while also being able to provide a decent movie watching activity.

If you don’t trust my judgment I will mention some of the most important features. The response time of 8 ms and the resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels is more than enough , but the viewing angles is seem to small at 150° on the horizontal and 130° on the vertical. Also the brightness is satisfactory at 300 cd/m² and the number of colors is reaching 16.2 millions.
