The AiGuru S1 Skype Phone

Posted January 18th, 2007 by Marius Trusculescu

The AiGuru S1 is being developed by Asus, world leader in the electronics production, and it is supposed to be the world’s first wireless Skype music phone. Are you intrigued? Well I was and decided to look more into it coming up with this product presentation.

AiGuru s1 by Asus @www.devicepedia.com Being a Skype phone, the AiGuru needs an internet connection to make the calls. It can acquire this internet connection trough the wireless 802.11b/g adapter by connecting to your computer over RF (radio frequency). regarding the functionality you may notice the device has the most common features found in normal mobile phones, like caller ID, missed calls, call waiting, phonebook and a little more as it is also a music phone.

It is a music phone a little different from the other ones as it stores no music actually on the device. The music is streamed from the computer to the device trough the same wireless connection that enables the Skype telephony. A plus is the ability to use the phone as a high range remote control as you can create playlists and then play them on the sound system of your computer.
