Dell XPS 710 H2C Edition Gaming Desktop - monster or beast?

Take your children, lock the doors, put them in bed and under no circumstances let them out. Keep them inside because Dell just launched a new gaming monster for the serious gamers. Or is it a beast? Well let’s see what that’s about.

When you take a look on the looks of the new Dell XPS 710 H2C Edition (astonishing) you should know that this much more than just a nice guy. It really has muscles inside, powered by an Inter Core Extreme QX6700, factory overclocked at 3.2 GHz with the new processor H2C cooling system, and backed by XPS technicians. That’s not all, though. The two Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTX graphics quad and the 4Gb of 667 MHz DDR2 memory are the guardians of that monster, and adding the 160Gb 10,000rpm hard-disk drive, the Dell UltraSharp 2007WFP 20-inch widescreen flat-panel monitor and the DELL AS501 flat-panel mount speakers are those that make the price of $5,499 pretty fair.
Two more nice features. The Razer Tarantula keyboard and the Razer Chopperhead gaming mouse not to forget the new “midnight-black” case. In the end, there is one thing I need to remind about. In the Dell press release there is no sign of Vista, but it says in fact that it will use the Microsoft® Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005 operating system.
