D-Link SharePort-packing DIR-825 is a Dual Band Router
Posted Thursday, October 2nd, 2008 by Alex IonThe guys at D-Link are some of the best when it comes to home user networking and their new dual band router is not going to stand aside. D-Link DIR-825 is the name and apart from the great looks (beautiful in white - or is it just the picture?) it features dual-band capabilities to pump out 2.4GHz and 5Ghz signals simultaneously.

But that’s not all, because it has a few more special features. First one is that it uses D-Link’s trademark SharePort technology that allows you to connect a printer or a storage device via USB and access them all through the network. Second of all D-Link says their dual band router is highly optimized for HD video streaming.
That baby is going to cost you $200 if you want to buy it, however if you already own a DIR-628, DIR-655, DIR-855, or DGL-4500 you can get the Share-Port technology with a simple firmware update.
