Sanyo Shows Rugged Mobile Phone

Actually this is handset is so durable, that it passes even military tests, the 810F standard for shock, dust and vibrations.

Aside from the rugged design and the Bluetooth support, the SCP-7050 got another great feature for outdoor activities with the Java based GPS capabilities. Using the GPS receive and several of the available applications you can have a mobile phone and a personal navigation device.

The new handset will be available starting April 2007 from Sprint, at $149.99 with a two year contract.

Sanyo M1 Available From SpringOn Thursday Sanyo and Sprint announced the availability of the M1 mobile phone. Having a gorgeous clamshell design the new handset is aimed at customers who want to access all the latest multimedia features in a single device. To support these features Sanyo incorporated in the mobile phone 1 GB of built-in storage that can host up to 16 hours of music or any other files.

But let’s first see what the multimedia features Sanyo included in this device. I already mentioned music playback, but I didn’t told you that this phone can offer you up to 18 hours of music playback time, based only on the included battery pack. A built-in 2 MP digital camera with flash and digital zoom will allow you to both take beautiful pictures and record QVGA videos (320×240 pixels) as well. Another great news is that you are not limited in time length for the video recording so the available memory allows you to store up to 120 minutes in a single shot according to Sanyo.

The device can connect to a PC using either the USB 2.0 connection or Bluetooth wireless technology to transfer music, videos or pictures. The handset can also connect to various Sprint services for music download, getting the latest news, receive audio or video streams and much more.
