Sexy LG KS20 Hits Stores in Europe, I’m Jealous

Posted Tuesday, November 6th, 2007 by Alex Ion

Lately, we’ve seen more and more cellphones being launched in Europe before the States or other countries and that’s the case with LG’s newest smartphone addition, KS20. With Prada perfume and Voyager memories the design is highly appreciated, but let’s see some specs.

LG KS20 Smartphone

3.6Mbps HSDPA, 2 megapixel camera, 2.8-inch QVGA 240×320 dispay and Wi-Fi b and g, all these running on Windows Mobile 6, I guess I got your attention already. But I won’t stop here, because LG just packed a lot inside. How about a full Internet browser, built-in Bluetooth, 128MB of internal memory and the 1050 mAh battery that lasts 400 hours in stand-by mode and 4 hours of talking.

How does that sound? The new LG KS20 will be available in France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Deutschland stores, right away so I’m jealous I can’t have it where I live.

LG and Rolex to Release a New Cellphone?!

Posted Thursday, October 11th, 2007 by Mihnea Boiangiu

LG has already attracted attention collaborating with prestigious names like Prada and Roberto Cavalli. It seems the company will strike again, this time in a joint venture with Rolex. I know, it is unusual for Rolex to get involved in cellphones industry, but they have the name and LG has the market.

Rolex

The news came via Engadget which had sources to claim the collaboration between LG and Rolex. Although, there weren’t published any pictures of this mysterious mobile, it could feature a Rolex watch-face that’s embedded in the casing, luxurious leather finish and a transparent keyboard. Even they didn’t confirmed any dates about releasing, you should expect something very expensive. We will come back with any news about this phone in the future.

LG Voyager a New iPhone Look-a-like?

Posted Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007 by Mihnea Boiangiu

As the holidays are approaching, Verizon Wireless prepares a new launch - LG Voyager. Like the lovely iPhone, LG Voyager features a large touchscreen display, high multimedia capabilities and Internet services (web browsing and email). On the other hand, it reveals a full QWERTY keyboard and a secondary non-touch sensitive screen if it is unfolded. Unlike the future rival, LG Voyager features expandable memory slot up to 8GB.

LG Voyager

Priced somewhere between $250-$300, LG Voyager could outclass the iPhone in Internet services as the Verizon Wireless’ latest data network provides speeds much higher than the AT&T network. LG Voyager gets the full V Cast services, including music, V Cast videos, VZ Navigator, and even V Cast Mobile TV. I must remember you the other features of LG Voyager: speakerphone, picture, text, video and instant messaging, Bluetooth stereo for headsets and speakers, built-in stereo speakers, 2.0 megapixel camera and microSDHC card slot. You should expect it in stores before Thanksgiving.

LG Shine(s) In A New Colour

Posted Thursday, July 12th, 2007 by Marius Trusculescu

LG’s officials today announced the availability of a new colour for their Shine mobile phone. Since the new “Titanium Black” colour is “edgier than ( regular) black and more chic than silver“, the device is supposed to “appeal to customers who demand the highest standards in style and technology“, says the official announcement.

For those interested in more than just colour the phone hasn’t changed as it packs exactly the same features as its other colour siblings (audio and video playback, digital camera with autofocus, a microSD expansion slot and more). The Titanium Black version of this multimedia handset will be available in the UK, France, Netherlands and Austria from the very end of this month.

LG Cyon SV300 Wine Phone - Check the video!

Posted Friday, June 1st, 2007 by Mihnea Boiangiu

We presented you the LG Wine Phone in a previous article. I find the design spectacular! Even the features of the Wine Phone don’t include the latest techy discoveries it will have an important impact for the consumers. Let’s think a little at the Moto’s RAZR which was a bestseller at his time. Probably LG Cyon SV300 will get the same success. Here is a video of the mobile:

LG SV300 - The Wine Phone

Posted Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007 by Alex Ion

LG started a trend in naming their mobile phones. The first one was LG Chocolate and it looks like we have LG Wine Phone for now, with the code SV300. Wonder if the time will bring LG French Fries or LG tiramisu in the near future. Now let’s get back to being serious.

The new SV300 Wine Phone is not as smart as I thought. It does have a dual screen a 2.2-inches display, a common 1.3 mpix camera, but it wouldn’t satisfy my needs if I would have to pay $340 (300,000 Won) for it. I just don’t think it’s worthy. The phone comes in Red and Black only. - ALEX ION

LG KS10 - the smart phone that loves the internet

Posted Thursday, February 15th, 2007 by Alex Ion

LG KS10 - the smart phone that loves the internetLG Electronics won’t cease to amaze me for the last few months with their latest announcements and launches. They have a new baby-born, for those that like the Symbian Series 60 operating system, coming with a 2.4-inch QVGA display that has 240×320 pixels resolution and 256k colors, and you should know that this phone is addicted to browsing the internet. That is because of the advanced functions browser that would allow recording web pages, capture images and more. It is a full Internet browsing capability mobile phone, tri-band (900/1800/1900) GSM and with HSDPA up to 1.8Mbps.

LG KS10 is a smart phone indeed. Comes with Bluetooth 1.2, a 2 megapixel camera with auto-focus and a VGA camera for 3G calls, microSD slots and a built-in audio player that supports MP3/AAC/AAC+/WMA files and you can connect it via USB. The phone is not very big, weighting 73 grams with 103×51x18.5mm. Even if LG KS10 was announced in Barcelona at 3GSM 2007 they haven’t set a price for it yet, not even a release date for mass production, but even if it’s going to be expensive those of you that like to go on the web on every corner will be prepared to pay the bill for it.

The New LG Shine (KE970) Launch In London

Posted Thursday, February 8th, 2007 by Marius Trusculescu

Already available in Korea the new handset from LG was presented to the UK audience yesterday in London. Having a slim slider design and great features the KE970 hopes to follow on the success of the LG Chocolate phone according to Dr. Skott Ahn, President andLG Shine KE970 CEO of LG Electronics who thinks “2007 is the year to Shine”.

The full metal-bodied phone delivers both slick looks and a bunch of cool features having the multimedia experience at the core of its design. Meant at rivaling the slim MP3 players, the LG Shine offers MP3, WAV and ACC++ audio file playback for the music lovers and a digital camera with autofocus for taking beautiful pictures. All this features come at a cost and the increase in demand for storage capacity is countered by the posibility of expanding the memory using a microSD card.

If you think of buying the LG KE970 Shine phone I am happy to tell you it is already available at various mobile telephony operators.
