Super Pii Pii Brothers for Nintendo Wii

Posted Thursday, April 3rd, 2008 by Alex Ion

Super Pii Pii BrothersThe Super Pii Pii Brothers is actually a video game for the Nintendo Wii coming from who else, Japan. I was totally blown away to see it at work and is damn funny.

You get to strap yourself with a belt harness that has the Wiimote attached and need to control the pee flow onto the three toilets that open and close as they wish, on your display.

What’s the goal? To spill as little as you can, on the floor. If you want to know how the Japanese got the idea to build it, here’s why.

“Super Pii Pii Brothers promotes good bathroom skills and allows women to experience for the first time the pleasure of urinating while standing.”

Not sure if you like it, but throw in a party and get your buddies to play a multiplayer game of the Super Pii Pii Brothers, it’s going to rock, believe me. Just make sure they don’t use their real “wiimotes” on your screen.

Price is $34.99 from ThinkGeek.

Call of Duty 4 - Gun Sounds REMIX

Let’s take Call of Duty 4 for example. When do you know a video game is extremely popular? When they release something like that… My favorite part is where the solo pistol comes in.

Cigarette Smoking is Dangerous to Your Wii

Posted Thursday, March 13th, 2008 by Mihnea Boiangiu

Mario GameIt seems the cigarette smoke can damage too your game console too. Perhaps nobody thought about this, but apparently the smoke can be harmful for Nintendo Wii. Gamers who smoke around the console could create damages to its laser lens that read the Wii disc.

Recently Nintendo has released the new game - “Super Smash Brothers Brawl” - which contains so many data that comes on a double-layer DVD. So, the laser lens need a great accuracy to read the game. Thus Nintendo offers free lens cleaning for its customers.

“A very small percentage of Wii consoles may have trouble consistently reading data off this large-capacity disc if there is some contamination on the lens of the disc drive,” says a statement on the Nintendo Web site.

Among the warning signs on cigarette packages should appear this one too: “Cigarette Smoking is Dangerous to Your Wii”.

Wife makes Giant Mario quilt - Husband happy

Posted Monday, February 25th, 2008 by Alex Ion

For those geeks out there with no wife yet (me included) this is what we should aim for.

Giant Mario Quilt

We have Brian, a happy husband. 5 years ago his wife made a giant Mario quilt  that is roughly 6-feet wide and 8-feet tall and hangs nicely on the wall in the basement gameroom. She used 16 different fabrics which makes it a 4-bit color quilt and it has 36 columns over 44 rows.

The end of HD DVD won’t hurt Xbox 360

Posted Tuesday, February 19th, 2008 by Alex Ion

Xbox 360 won’t suffer from HD DVD war

Now that Toshiba has finally ditched the HD DVD format in an official statement saying that “it will no longer develop, manufacture and market HD DVD players and recorders” this should have impact on some businesses. However, Microsoft announced today that its Xbox 360 game console won’t suffer any material impact.

I find it hard to believe, but Microsoft enforced our thoughts saying that Xbox 360 customers would continue to be able to consume high-definition movies, television programs, and DVDs they already own on the Xbox 360 HD DVD player.

Lets see it done, now that Blu-ray is gonna become king and then we’ll talk.

Wii Accessories for Fanatics

Posted Friday, January 11th, 2008 by Mihnea Boiangiu

I declared myself a fan once, and I am saying right now. I love Nintendo Wii, no matter what people are saying about the graphics. To be fair, I don’t appreciate too much their games for graphics, but I like the interactivity of the console. But let’s stay with the headline.

Wii Accesories for Sports

I have discovered a website that sells Wii accessories. You know, guns, combat kits, gloves, racer steering wheel, pool sticks. This collection is amazing and there is more to come. CTA Digital announced they began the shipments of these crazy accessories for retail stores.

Wii Ping Pong

However, I don’t have any idea about pricing. Obviously, if you’re a fanatic the price will be a detail.

Nintendo Wii Used For Medical Purposes

Posted Saturday, December 8th, 2007 by Mihnea Boiangiu

Computer games have been always considered harmful for kids. But Nintendo has produced a spectacular turn in the industry. Their great invention called Wii, provoked a revolution in gaming use. Nintendo Wii Sports addresses also to elders and other population categories that don’t play games.

Nintendo Wii

Recently some therapists have recommended the game console for their patients. Also some hospitals used Wii to help people recovering from strokes and spinal cord or traumatic brain injuries. The game increases coordination and also help patients to gain strength. Furthermore Nintendo’s Wii Fit game is also expected for launch in US. By using a Balance Board, the player can perform moves specific to sport games like soccer, ski, aerobics and even yoga.

The bad news comes from the stores, whose shelves are currently empty. So if you intend to buy one for Christmas, you should start looking from now.

PlayStation3 will be $100 cheaper

Posted Thursday, October 18th, 2007 by Mihnea Boiangiu

Sony PS3Sony announced price cuts for PlayStation 3 model. The 40 GB version will retail for $399 while the 80 GB version’s price was also cut with $100. Sony Corp. tries to reinvigorate the sales of their new game console, because the things didn’t go in the right direction. The new prices will be available on November 2 when the new version of the PS3 will come with a 40 GB hard drive for the North American market. Same measures were applied in Europe and Japan, because Sony couldn’t battle with its rivals Microsoft and Nintendo.

Still, the PS3 remains more expensive than the rival game consoles. Its price surpasses with $50 the Xbox 360 and with $150 Nintendo Wii. Nevertheless, Sony have made the move before the Christmas shopping season. Better now than later. And I still prefer the Wii.
