Posted Friday, March 9th, 2007 by Alex Ion

With two new additions in the EasyShare line of digital cameras, Kodak is launching a new concept with high performances at affordable prices. The first one, Z885, is a 8.1 megapixel camera with 5x optical zoom, a 2.5-inch display, that comes with 10 automatic smart scene modes. Price is $199.95 and will be release by May.

If however you wanna be a professional in the future and you need a DSLR, the new 7.1 megapixel Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS with 12x optical zoom has a 2.5-inch LCD, and the nice thing is that the click-to-capture time is jus 0.26seconds, which is fast. It also comes with optical image stabilization for sharp, steady shots at long zoom ranges all these thanks to the new Schneider Kreuznach Variogon lenses. The price is set at $299.95 and release date is set for April.

Kodak EasyShare V610 review

Posted Monday, December 18th, 2006 by Mihnea Boiangiu

It is the smallest camera with 10x optical zoom. The innovative 6 megapixel camera uses two types of lens - ones for macro picturing and others for landscape. It like at the professional cameras, when the photographer is changing the object lens. Kodak are using two Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon all-glass prism zooms (and two CCDs) to cover a much wider 10x range.

The camera has a Bluetooth, so it’s easier to share your photos. Also Kodak EasyShare V610 has a large back TFT display (2.8″ wide) for view your photos. The internal memory is 32MB, but you will need a SD card, if you plan to take more photos or video images. The VGA camera has a resolution of 640×480 at 30fps with sound. This gadget is a fine piece of modern art. Take it!
