This is a 12.1 megapixel camera with a 28mm wide angle lens and 4.6x optical zoom. It has a sleek, futuristic looking body which comes in black, silver or red and the features match the look. The built in Intelligent Auto technology deals with focus, shake, lighting and face recognition leaving you free to concentrate on getting the right shot. There is a 2.7 inch LCD for framing your ideal shot and the camera has a lightning fast start up speed of 0.95 seconds so you never need to miss a photo opportunity.
You can also shoot up to five consecutive shots at 2.3 frames per second at full resolution. On top of still shots the camera has camcorder capabilities and you can record high definition footage at 1280 x 720 pixels and 30 frames per second. You can also capture more at lower resolutions if you prefer. There are 27 scene modes to choose from and the camera comes with editing software. This is a lot of camera for $299.95.
