Posted February 1st, 2007 by Marius Trusculescu

The Lumix line of digital cameras from Panasonic got a little upgrade with the release of the new DCM-FX30 that incorporates a new set of lenses to allow taking pictures with wider opening angles. The device is said to be the slimmest digital camera with wide angle and benefiting from a 3.6x optical zoom.

Panasonic FX-30 digital cameraBesides the obvious great optical qualities the FX30 has at its core a 7.2 MP digital digital sensor for taking great pictures without even a hint of blur as you get some help from Panasonic’s proven image stabilization system. Obviously the camera can record videos at VGA (640×480 pixels) resolution at 30 fps (frames per second), but a wide resolution of 848 x 480 @ 30 fps is available too.

The digital camera is expected to ship this month at an estimated price of about $350.
