Logitech produce a number of different webcams for different occasions and this model is specifically for use with laptops. Although many laptops have a built in webcam this device offers a substantial improvement in quality. It is a 2 megapixel camera which displays at a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels. It is also capable of capturing photographs at 8 megapixels and it packs a high quality Carl Zeiss ultra wide angle lens. It even has a built in microphone with echo and noise reduction.
It is a highly portable device and it ships with a travel case and a desk stand although you’ll generally use the clip to fit it. Logitech provide software for video calling and with their free application Vid you can call people with a single click. As well as the wide field of view and quality image this camera provides it also deals with low light situations by brightening footage. You can play around with the webcam and have some fun using the video effects software provided. This is a great device currently offered for $70.99.
