The majority of webcams are not great quality and often the built in devices on laptops are extremely poor. The Logitech QuickCam Pro is capable of capturing high definition footage. It has a double hinged clip so you can fit it onto a laptop, notebook or monitor. It is equipped with a 2 megapixel image sensor utilizing Carl Zeiss optics and it can record at resolution of 960 x 720 pixels. You can also capture still shots up to 8 megapixel resolution thanks to software interpolation.
It is a plug and play device for Windows PCs or Macs and it works perfectly with various chat programs. It comes with a 6 foot USB cable. You can also have some fun with the special effects add-ons which allow you to add avatars, filters and facial accessories. It also features auto focus and it is capable of correcting for poor lighting conditions. It is one of the best webcams available and you can pick one up for well under $100.
