Camcorders that record directly to DVD are gradually being phased out but if you have a preference for this type of system you can find some reasonably priced models on the market. The Canon DC330 is a fairly bulky camcorder which allows you to record direct to DVD, there’s a 0.35 inch color viewfinder, a flip open pivoting 2.7 inch widescreen color LCD display and it can record high resolution footage.
Other features include a 45x zoom, digital image stabilizer and a 1.07 megapixel sensor. You can use rewritable DVDs or dual layer discs and it can record up to 108 minutes on a dual layer disc. It can record in 16:9 True Wide High Resolution which is perfect for playback on widescreen televisions. You can also capture stills to a memory card and it can be hooked up to a PC or PictBridge compatible printer for easy photo printing. This camcorder is quite a cheap offering at $379.
