This is a powerful 5.1 channel surround sound system from Yamaha. Featuring a total of 500W of output at 100W per speaker this is fully 1080p compatible with video pass through and HDMI switching with 13 preset templates to suit any listening situation. There are two HDMI inputs and one output, 2 volume setting functions and for movies you can choose from 8 unique surround sound programs.
This is just the sound system so you’ll need to get a DVD player and iPod dock separately, although it does have its own remote control. It also supports Bluetooth and it is XM and Sirius Satellite Radio ready. This set up is great whether you are listening to music from your iPod or watching the latest blockbuster on your HDTV. The speakers are fairly compact but the quality is top notch and in this price range the system offers great value for money. It will set you back about $330.
