Razer Mako Sound System
Posted January 17th, 2007 by Marius TrusculescuRazer is slowly moving out of the exclusively-for-gaming products arena to the computer accessories market, or at least this is my impression. AT this month’s CES the company introduced the Mako 2.1 sound system which is more than a gaming device. The 2.1 speaker system is great both for the eye and especially for the ear, but my point is that it isn’t dedicated to the gaming audience and this isn’t at all a bad thing.

So let’s have an overview of the features of the Mako 2.1 and let’s see why I think it offers more than just a gaming experience. For those of you who don’t know the 2.1 in the name stands for the 2 satellites and 1 subwoofer that are the components of the system. The system offers a high fidelity sound experience at a total power of 300 W (50 W from each satellite and 200 W from the subwoofer) covering a wide range of audio frequencies, from 30 Hz to 20 kHz.
The Razer Mako 2.1 system also comes with a remote control that allows changing the parameters of the audio signal without accessing the computer. Being co-developed with the THX ltd., the sound system also benefits from there’s guaranty of quality and that comes as a valuable asset.
