Altec Lansing has a well deserved reputation for quality audio devices and this iPod dock is capable of playing and charging all iPod models with a 30-pin connector. There is an input jack so you can connect up other kinds of MP3 players or even a CD or DVD player. It is designed to be compact and portable but also offer terrific sound quality. It produces high frequency sound and a depth of bass and thanks to the Expanded Sound Stage technology the speakers will sound further apart than they actually are.
The device comes with a small remote control and has a convenient slot which can be used to store the remote when not in use or for travelling. It also folds up to a portable size for taking with you and the rechargeable battery can give you up to 7 hours of music from a single charge. There is a built in FM tuner for listening to the radio and the device can double up as a clock radio for the bedside.
