New Aluminum MacBook PRO

Posted October 14th, 2008 by Alex Ion

Steve Jobs came out today and introduced us to two new MacBooks.

The most interesting is the new MacBook Pro. A solid but lightweight piece of aluminum (an aluminum Apple, yes) that not only looks great but is great. It has a 15-inch LED backlit display built in a sleek black frame with iSight and microphone, and features an interesting keyboard that has a multi-touch glass trackpad, like the iPhone has.

Other than all these it has the latest (45-nm tech) Intel Core 2 Duo that goes up to 2.8 GHz, and two graphics cards. Yes you got that right. One is an integrated NVDIA GeForce 9400M and for the other one you just need to push the “turbo-charge” button to work on a a NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT. It also packs the usual stuff like 250/320 GB HD, the optional 128 SSD or WiFi.

Prices start at $1799 and go up to $2499 if you get the SSD version and depending on options.
