Sleek and Polished Apple iMac 24″

Posted Monday, November 24th, 2008 by Lyn

Apple iMac never ceases to impress the buying public with their quality products. I was an avid Windows fan until I came across the Apple iMac 24″. The Apple iMac 24″ has a whooping Intel Core Duo processor that clocks up to 3.0 Ghz it also has built-in RAM of 2GB-4GB and a hard drive size of up to 320 GB, talk about space!

The latest Apple iMac 24″ offers far more powerful specs and features compared to it’s predecessors but at a slightly different price. It is now available from your local computer stores with a price set at between $1,649.99 to $1,828.15.  If you are looking for more room, a wider screen, and hi-powered specs the Apple iMac 24″ is the way to go.

Go Wireless Now

Posted Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 by Lyn

Ever wonder if a day will come when everything will go wireless?

The dream is soon becoming a reality. With the advent of modern technology, everything is possible. Apple has just released to the market, the cable-free yet, ultra thin  Apple Wireless Keyboard.

This nifty tool runs on a:

  • Mac PC with ‘Bluetooth’ technology.
  • A Mac OS X v10.4.10 or later version.
  • An existing keyboard and mouse for first set up.
  • An updated keyboard software.
  • All three AA batteries are included in the package.

As opposed to it’s wired counterpart, the wireless keyboard is running on complete wireless ‘Bluetooth’ technology which allows comfort and full functionality with style. The sleek wireless device is made of anodized aluminum frame, thus assuring durability and compatibility with your Mac. Not only does this small wonder afford you total freedom of movement, it also has an Intelligent power management which practically conserves battery life by automatically shutting down the keyboard’s power supply when you’re not using it and turns automatically on the moment you start typing.

Wired or wireless? You choose.

iPod Speakers by Jean-Michel Jarre

Posted Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008 by Alex Ion

Jean-Michel Jarre, a pioneer when it comes to electronic music and also famous for those massive concerts that got record amounts of followers and used some of the most beautiful laser and firework games, has now designed some iPod Speakers. And looks really neat. Dubbed the AeroSystem it features two 20W RMS speakers and a 45W RMS subwoofer into a retro design that also packs a USB port and a 3.5mm jack. Though they look shinny and modern, I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be a real deal, because the cost for these iPod speakers are €450 (some $580). Plus, it’s only in France right now. - via Gadget Lab

Room Service via iPhone / iPod Touch at Malibu Beach Inn

Posted Monday, October 20th, 2008 by Alex Ion

Ordering room service using an iPhone or an iPod Touch is one the most interesting things I’ve heard regarding Apple’s products. Apparently Malibu Beach Inn is trying to attract people that are in love with their touchscreens and won’t let go of the fancy brick, no matter what.

The hotel has a web application built for the Safari Browser, that allows all iPhone/iPod Touch users to access remote capabilities like room service, setting a wake up call, requesting luggage, renting a limo and flipping the door placard to “Do Not Disturb”. Does that mean that geeks are lazy or is it just a nice way of saying we love you Apple freaks, come stay at our hotel for a couple of nighs to play with the system. Not sure if any geek will afford something like the Malibu Beach Inn though.

New 24-inch LED Cinema Display from Apple

Posted Tuesday, October 14th, 2008 by Alex Ion

During the Apple event today, not only the new aluminum MacBook Pro got people’s attention. A new 24-inch LED Cinema Display has been announced, too. The new display does 1920×1200 pixels with 16.7 million colors, has a metallic edge and a glass-fronted glossy screen that makes it look similar with the current line of iMacs. Which if you ask me, it’s a great thing.

The new 24-inch LED Cinema Display from Apple is going to feature an iSight camera, built-in microphone with built-in stereo speakers, LED backlighting and has USB connectivity (3port USB 2.0 hub). It’s  mercury-free and meets the latest ENERGY STAR requirements, which somehow … makes it eco-friendly. Wait for it in November for $899, if you like it. - via Electronista
