The Camcorder is a really cool product. The camera supports recording in SD (Standard Definition), so you do get a bit of noise and fuzzy details, but if you’re not joining the hype just yet, this camcorder is still a hot choice for the holidays. The Flash based memory storage excels in performance and is quite fast. The camcorder’s lens is a 1/6″ CCD, the battery life is questionable if you will be filming for a while, and many recommended backing up your own batteries. The camcorder comes in a great, efficient box package, with all the needed cables and software. Besides 10X optical zoom feature was really fantastic comes in the camera with lower price like .The problem comes while using this camera in a place that has lower light; the pictures will produce with lower quality. But it’s fine to use it in a brighter location especially in outdoor with the sunlight. The most crucial problem is the battery; you can only use this camcorder for less than 1 hour. So you should manage the time carefully to shoot a moment. Comes with a low price and small size, become a good choice for someone who looking for a camcorder for trip, strict budget but has good enough in performance.

The is a pretty decent phone for the money. It is a slide phone with 50 MB of memory and an expansion slot, Bluetooth connectivity and 3 hours of talk time. It also includes a digital camera that has 1.3 megapixel resolution and 4x digital zoom. Consumer reviews on this phone have been pretty good. Most like the slide feature although there is some concern about it getting loose with wear.

It is also difficult to customize and is not the best phone to get if you are looking for something that has great audio output on music. However, it does have a large screen, is lightweight with a sleek design, and has an easy one-handed sliding feature. Overall, consumers have found it worth the money.

SurfaceSound Compact – Review

Posted Monday, December 22nd, 2008 by TechGeek

Recently I received the SurfaceSound Compact from a company called Contour Design who asked me for a review of their product. The is a wireless speaker system that allows you to connect to your phone through Bluetooth. I have been looking for a good alternative to the Bluetooth ear piece for quite a while and I believe I’ve found one!

The ideal position for the is to slide it onto your car visor as seen in the image below:

The following below is a couple of tests that I completed:

  1. Clarity – The Surface Sound with its unique flat panel speaker provides excellent clarity when having conversations.
  2. DSP noise reduction and echo cancellation speaker – Is excellent.
  3. Connectivity – Just enable Bluetooth on your phone and move the antenna from its original position and your good to go.
  4. Value for money – This device retails for $100, which is great value for what you get.

The Surface Sound is safer and a superior product than any ear piece you will find.

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G1 Digital Camera

Posted Saturday, December 20th, 2008 by TechGeek

This is a new kind of digital camera which combines elements of a DSLR and a compact. It is being touted as the world’s first Micro Four Thirds camera and it uses the live MOS image sensor from ’s regular Four Thirds DSLR camera but combines it with an electronic viewfinder. The 3 inch LCD screen can be tilted or swiveled for your convenience. It also features interchangeable lenses, fast performance and extremely high photo quality.

The electronic viewfinder is high resolution with 1,440,000 dots and there is a built in image stabilizer and a Supersonic Wave Filter which is supposed to remove dust. This is a fair bit bigger than a compact and it has no movie capture facility however it may still be a good choice for people seeking a step up. It comes in a choice of three colors, black and blue, black and red or just plain old black. This camera will set you back around $800.
